Paranoia Abounds: Apocalypse Soon!?
Apocalypse Soon!? Interesting doomsayer article a paranoid's delight. The new fad today appears to be TERRIFYING PEOPLE with unnecessary fear of the future, based on some idiotic Mayan calender made by ignorant savages centuries ago that ended with the year 2012. Simply, the Mayans ran out of ink, but doomsayers have latched onto this date shrieking it will be the end of the world."Many other people, however, have yet to get the message. Google “2012” and there are 233 million hits. Try “2012 doomsday” or “2012 prophecy” or “2012 predictions” or “2012 end of the world,” and you’re flooded with results. On more than 600,000 websites: Survive2012.com, 2012EndofDays.org, December212012.com, and WhoWillSurvive2012.com discussion both eager and fearful rages about the astronomical, astrological and religio-historic ramifications of the coming eschaton supposedly foreseen by Mayan mystics."Add this "end of days" Mayan calendar crap to the so-called Swine Flu pandemic nonsense and you've got fuel to scare and terrify people into believing in ridiculous things to make their lives miserable. Just turn off the TV news and pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
